Through this video, I learned that population growth had remained steady throughout modern civilization, until about 1800, when industrialization began and population growth began to rapidly increase. If mankind made itself more aware of this severe epidemic, people could start changing their lifestyles to make a real change and to slow population growth. If population growth continues at the rate it is currently going, mankind will find that this Earth is incapable of supporting mass amounts of humans, and at that point there will have to be some severe and tragic choices made to preserve the well being of mankind. We as a people need to wake up, become more aware of the condition of our planet, and do everything we can to preserve its well being, if not for the planet itself, at least for generations to come.
